What is it about your political beliefs that put you on the Left rather than the Right?

Welfare state, social housing, disability , sickness looking after those less able then most, free education, free NHS.

A government that looks after the poor by helping them up.

What do you consider made you Left wing?

I was born left wing into an area of steel working , mining.

I had no option but to be socialist with grand parents great grand parents, fathers brothers sister. sadly they have now all left the Labour party.

How would you describe the sort of society you want Britain to be?

A better one then we have today under New Labour.

One in which we look after the people who cannot do it themselves.

What one or two changes would make the biggest difference to bringing that about?

Vote in the Tories because to be honest I’m sick to death of the spin the lies and the total control of New labour

What most makes you angry about the way Britain is now?

Simple New labour

Which person, event, era or movement from the past should we look to for inspiration now?

Who cares about the past we need to look to the future a future which does not look great under a New labour government

Position: Crippled disabled retard according to New labour

“A government that looks after the poor by helping them up.”

I mean this idea, a hand up, not a hand out is at the core of Labours beliefs. It was , I am certain, this idea that Purnell thought he was following in bring about welfare reforms.

Sadly we have seen the toughening of the medical test cause up to a 90% fail rate and disabled and sick people being forced onto JSA, private sector work programs paid by result, causing a serious disregard for many of these peoples wellbeing as they are bullied into unsuitable or unfullfilling jobs.

But we must not give up. The Labour party is still one with many good people, giving their all, it is still one trying to act as agents of the people, all people. It is our job to ensure that the decision makers realise that this experiment has not worked. That the welfare system is no place for the private sector.

We must remember that the Tories would take further steps down this dark path. And celebrate what has failed so many people as success.

I would like to know if you genuinely believe, the tories with their record, could do this better?

    Thanks for your thoughts Robert!
