What is it about your political beliefs that puts you on the Left rather than the Right?:

I am a socialist. I understand how capitalism works in a pernicious and exploitative way to produce poverty and inequality.

What do you consider made you Left wing?:

My understanding that we live in a economic system which promotes greed and selfishness and disempowers people

How would you describe the sort of society you want Britain to be?

An alternative economy based on mutualism, co-operation and social enterprise. people owning and controlling the places where they work.

What one or two changes would make the biggest difference to bringing that about?

giving people economic power – taking that power away from the rich and corporations

What most makes you angry about the way Britain is now?

A rotten democracy, poverty, inequality and the disempowerment of ordinary people.

Which person, event, era or movement from the past should we look to for inspiration now?

There are many people but the one who made the most significant contribution to our understanding of our current condition is Karl Marx
