What is it about your political beliefs that puts you on the Left rather than the Right?:
a belief in social justice and support for the disadvantaged in our society,opprtunity to develop according to your character and skills rather than through social advantage.
understanding that to be a fair inclusive society we have to offer an equal chance to all.
ensuring that society and not the market controls the basics of life and that there is clear political choice.
What do you consider made you Left wing?:
an understanding of the awful harm the free market can do to structures and services that have no logical place within in it
How would you describe the sort of society you want Britain to be?
equal engaged socialist european
What one or two changes would make the biggest difference to bringing that about?
join the euro, reinstate clause 4, remember that socialism and not capitalism was the driving force behind the formation of the labour party
What most makes you angry about the way Britain is now?
that the seamless passage from thatcherism to blairism has made us an ineffectual lapdog on the world stage, tolerated by america because we are a useful staging post and derided by europe as inward looking little englanders unable or un willing to fully intergrate into europe
Which person, event, era or movement from the past should we look to for inspiration now?
the founding fathers of the labour movement and in the present day dennis skinner
